How to Remove Dried Stains From Carpet?[DIY method]

  1. Scrape off any dried residue on the stain with a plastic knife or a dull butter knife. Vacuum any residue you scratched away.
  2. Saturate the stain with club soda or Rub light carpet stains with a mixture of 2 tablespoons salt dissolved in 1/2 cup white vinegar. Let the solution dry, then vacuum.
  3. Cover the stained area using clean white or light-coloured rags or towels.
  4. For larger or darker stains, add two tablespoons of borax to the mixture and use it in the same way.
  5. Stand on top of the cloths or towels for as long as one minute.
  6. For tough, ground-in dirt and other stains, make a paste of 1 tablespoon vinegar with one tablespoon cornstarch and rub it into the stain using a dry cloth. Let it sit for two days, then vacuum.
  7. Blot the stain using a dry, light-coloured towel.
  8. Do again the procedure of pouring the club soda, covering with cloths, adding the weight of your body, and blotting with more rags or towels until you aren’t seeing any more stain transferring to the towels rags.
  9. For spilt paint, use a solution of 1 1/2 teaspoons vinegar, 1 1/2 teaspoons laundry detergent, and two cups water; sponge away the paint before it sets in and rinses with cold water.
  10. Use a carpet spot stain remover, and after which blot the area dry with a towel to remove any lingering stain.
  11. For fruit and fruit juice stains, mix one tablespoon laundry detergent with 1 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar and combine with two cups of water. Work the solution into the paint and blot.
  12. For coffee and tea stains, combine equal parts, white vinegar and water and blot the stain.
